Revlon Amber Waves 800-Watt Ionic Soft Bonnet

This product is a little loud- no watching tv while using it unless it closed captioned. LOL! I wish it had a medium setting too.

I bought this item thinking that it would work better than the hard plastic dryers at the salon because you can wear the bonnet. Yeah right! I put the bonnet on and most of the air comes out in your face the same as the hard plastic one. It doesn't dry your hair quickly and the cord isn't long enough for you to move much. Waste of money!

I got this for my 84 yr. old mother. It works fine half the time then all of a sudden it will make loud noises and the temp is so hot she has to use cool temp. I would not recommend this to ANYONE! It's a waste of money.

I like this product. It's kind of loud (or it was the last time I used it) which caused me some concern, but it does the job. It's hard to love it because I've never been a fan of hair dryers, but I enjoy the look, ease of use and convinence.

I had a hair dryer w/ a bonnet for years, since i was a chid, and recently i had to replace it with a new one for the one i had before was quite outdated and was starting to work improperly. I searched for a new hair dryer and came across this one and to be honest, i didn't think that hair dryer w/ bonnets even exsited anymore. I am glad i purchased my product and will recommnded it to anyone.

I purchased this dryer back in November '08. I used it twice before it started giving me problems, the worst of which the middle heat setting no longer works. It either blows cool or very hot. Also I do not feel that it heats evenly, but mainly at the point where the tube is connected. The highest heat setting gets way too hot for my taste. This was a total waste of money not to mention time with switching back and forth between the remaining two heat settings that still work. Stay away from this inferior product.

This dryer is specifically for people with thick hair. I read the reviews prior to purchasing it, they spoke of how hot the highest setting is. I am African American with very thick, fine hair. The analogy I use is "like a wet cotton ball." This dryer got my hair completely dry even braided and rolled.

If you have fine straight hair, this dryer is more than you need. But if you have had trouble getting your hair completely dry (in rollers or braids); this is the hair dryer you want to invest in.

It's compact, light weight; the bonnet is large enough for rollers and tightens wtih a draw string; the hose could be longer but that's a minor inconvenience. I love it.

I agree with the other reviewers that the High on this is TOO hot. I have very thick hair that I have been chemically treating for many years so my scalp can take a lot. It wasn't so much that inside of the cap was too hot but the little string that you use to close it and the areas outside your scalp got VERY hot.

The low setting was OK but again I have thick hair and didn't want to sit under the dryer all day so I had to alternate.

Other than that the product is fine. I've had similar dryers over the years. All dryers like this are somewhat loud and all of them have problems with the heat circulating appropriately from front to back. I find I have to move the nozzel around to target the front and sides of my hair.

Overall, I'm happy and would recommend to friends.

This dryer is great because it is easy to use, compact, and gets screamin' hot. I use the mid range temperature. I also like the fact that it is an ionic dryer. Very sturdy, LOVE IT!
