We purchased this bunk bed online through Walmart and had shipped to our home. Shipping was faster than expected.
Pros:
The bed was packaged very well in a sturdy box with all of the parts labeled, individually wrapped in plastic and well protected from being scratched. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and all of the fasteners were packaged in one container and clearly identified. The only tool required per the instructions is a Phillips screwdriver.

I started assembly of the bunk bed with the help on my wife and 2 boys, everything went smoothly, the parts fit together well and the pictures in the instructions were large and clear making it easy to figure out the correct orientation of the parts.
Cons:
When we got to the step in the instructions to attach the rails that will support the slats, connect the ends together and provide an attach point for the top side rail and ladder, that part was missing. This particular rail is different in that it has mounting points for the ladder and upper side rail. What we had was 3 of the bottom rails instead of 2 bottom rails and the one upper ladder side rail. So what I ended up doing was drilling the missing holes in the rail to mount the upper safety rail and ladder. The good thing about drilling the holes myself was that due to the layout of the boy’s room we decided to put the ladder at the foot end of the bed instead of the side. Having to drill the missing holes was really not a big deal, however, if someone without a drill or the ability to modify this standard rail ran into this problem they would either have to do without the ladder and upper safety rail or postpone assembly until they received the replacement part. …and who knows how long that would take.

What I did was assemble the bed with the fasteners just snug, then once completely assembled I measured the diagonals to square up the whole thing then tightened each fastener. In order to combat the inevitable loosening of the fasteners, I then removed one fastener at a time, applied Loctite thread locker to it, and then re-installed the fastener and once again tightened it down. I did this procedure to each fastener in the bed. I also fashioned straps to secure the bed to the wall at the head and toe.

THIS BUNK BED IS AWESOME, GREAT PRICE AND GREAT QUALITY. I PUT IT TOGETHER ON MY OWN IN UNDER 2 HOURS. MY BOYS 5 AND 4 LOVE IT AND THERE IS STILL LOTS OF ROOM FOR THEM TO GROW IN IT.

My only issue was that I ordered two of these and it took me by myself over 5hrs to put both of them together and I am a very handy person. Second one I didn't even need to look at the directions.
Other than that my kids love these beds and I would buy them again. They look good, are strong, and freed up floor space in their bedrooms.

I ordered black bunkbeds, and I got white. But since my kids had been on air mattresses for a year and I didnt want to go through the hassle of returning them and waiting again, i kept them. They were easy to put together and seem pretty sturdy. Also a couple of pieces were bent and the spots where they were bent, the paint is chipping off, which I didnt notice until after we finished putting them together. Overall im happy with the purchase, just wish i got the one i wanted.

When the bed came it was missing the hardware, i had to call the company and have them send me the screws. there customer service was awesome and it was only an additional 2 days i had to wait. the bed was pretty easy to put together but you definetly need two people to set it up.

I bought this bed for my two daughters one is 4 and the other is 6. Its very sturdy and really wasnt that bad to put together. It looks great and everything came in tact and I got it shipped to my house about 2-3 days after I ordered it which made me very happy. The cost was not bad at all either I think it was on sale for $156 or so. My girls love their new bed and I would definitely recommend this product to others.

I bought this bunk bed in September, and since then I have had three of the bars on the bottom bunk bend out of shape almost to the point of breaking. The slats are almost impossible to remove once they are set in their slots, so I cannot remove them. My boys only use their beds to sleep in so it's not like the beds were mistreated in any way. I thought that this would last a lot longer than 4 months, but I was wrong.

I bought 2 sets for my childeren and it was a waste of money, The ladders both broke and the bed bobbels and squeeks. It doesnt matter how tight you make the bolts. I am very unhappy and wish I could return them. I cant aford to get new beds for my childeren due to having 6 of them. Oh and the bolts fall out of the holes.

Came with wrong legs

I ordered this bed over a month ago and paid more to have it shipped to my house. The bed arrived 2 days before it's scheduled date, we were thrilled! We took the boys beds apart and started setting the bunk beds up, and then discovered we had 2 of the wrong legs. We then called Dorel customer service and they told us they would send us a new leg within 10 business days, we asked if it could come sooner because we gave their bed frames away and my kids would have to sleep on the floor. She said it was not possible and we would have to wait.... and a month later we are still waiting. We called to check on the order status and were told that they do not have any extra parts, they all have to be ordered and shipped from China. They are are waiting for China to ship the parts.... once the parts arrived it would be 10-14 business days before we could get the correct legs. We now have to wait an entire extra month (at the least). I am not at all pleased and no one seems to care. It has been a terrible experience.

I ordered this bed, had it shipped to the store, picked it up, went to put it together and the very first parts to be assembled did not fit. It was four elbow pieces to fit into the leg post pieces. Both pieces were the same diameter, not gonna fit! I called and asked the company for the correct replacement pieces and was sent two elbow pieces, not four, not that that really matters because they didn't fit either. I'm trying this one more time. If the replacement pieces they send do not fit, the bed is going back and I will never buy another product from this company if someone gave me free money to do it with! So needless to say this bed is in parts on my son's floor and that's where he has been having to sleep. This whole experience has been a nightmare!
