I have long hair and need a longer rod to wrap my hair around. The part where the handle attaches is about an inch more forward than my other curling iron. This one would be fine for shoe hair. It gets plenty hot. I would return it if I had saved the packaging.

The curling iron would be great if the on button and temperature control were not directly below the clip lever. Every time I curl a section of my hair I have to check to see if I accidently turned off the iron or changed the heat setting.

Came quickly but was not the one pictured with the built in rest. I hate the one with the swivel metal rest and that was the one I recieved . I had ordered from Walmart because I thought I would get the curling iron that was pictured.But that was not the case.

I didn't use this iron that much at first, but after I started styling other people hair and curling my hair extensions, I realized what a great iron this is. I might have worn some of the material of the iron after using spritz on it and not cleaning it properly. It still works well and I will be purchasing in different sizes.

30 second heat up my foot! This thing didn't heat up AT ALL. Left it plugged in, on the highest setting for 10 MINUTES and was still as cold as when I plugged it in. Piece of cheap plastic and nothing else.

This is the worst curling iron I have ever owned! It does NOT glide on your hair at all! It sticks and grabs your hair! I had no product in my hair either! Needless to say I will be returning it! I guess you live and learn.

This curling iron is FANTASTIC!! It heats up in about 30 seconds. It does slide through your hair easily (even if you have a lot of styling products in your hair). Also, the cover make it so conveniant to put the curling iron away (even if it's still hot). The cover also gives me piece of mind as a mother that I'm not having to leave a hot curling iron out on the counter while it cools down.

First, I order this because i want to try something new with my hair, and im very excited, and when it arrived all the packaging is all well, and when i checked the curling iron, its big , but its fine thou its just i dont expect it to be big, when i first tried it with my hair, i liked it, it really curl nicely, I have a fine hair, so i just trun the heat 1-6 maximum so it will not damaged my hair.. I really like this product its really good.. YOU SHOULD TRY IT :)

I had this exact brand of curling iron before and wore it out. Sadly this iron is no longer available in the store, but happily is still found on line. My hair is short, very straight, fine and somewhat thin. I get just the amount of wave I need with this iron.
Also had tried another brand of 1" curling iron that seemed comparable. Its spring did not have a strong enough grip to secure my hair and I had to return it.

i have thin long hair and it will curl it but after 5 mins the curl drops completely. I tried curling my hair with hair spray and i also tried curling it just dry with no product (hairspray), still the curls drop in mins

I very seldom write reviews for products... I have to either really, really like them or absolutely hate them. This curling iron definitely falls in the latter category. I have quite thick, fine short hair that I have to blast any kind of lift into, so I've been using curling irons daily for 30+ years. I like the 1" barrel as it gives me volume without too much curl. I usually buy Conair and have been very satisfied over the years. Too bad for me that I was in a hurry and the store didn't have a 1" barrel Conair :(
This Remington is the worst curling iron I've ever used. The spring on the barrel clamp is so loose that my hair falls right out. The "30" heat settings are a joke and even the hottest setting doesn't give my hair a lasting curl. The design is incredibly poor... The heat dial is so microscopic you can hardly read the setting numbers, and it's located right on the handle where you're continually bumping it; the swivel cord does not swivel freely and the cord is forever riding up and curling around the handle; the protective heat cover is a silly little soft silicone sheath that will only stay on with a little strap that is extremely difficult to snap in... Should I go on?
Moral of the story... You get what you pay for. Spend a little more and buy a Conair :D
