Canon PIXMA iP2600 w/ Cable Photo Inkjet Printer - Energy Star Compliant

This is a great little printer. My only problem is that it costs more to replace the ink cartridges than the original cost of the printer with cartridges. Can anyone explain this?

My Lexmarx (also bought from Wal-Mart) had a roller problem that was going to cost more than the printer was worth and I had a paper due, so I ran in to Wal-Mart and found this cheap printer. All I really need is the ability to print in black and white for the papers I have to turn in on a weekly basis, and this seemed to be just the thing.

It worked as expected, and quickly. I like the fact that the paper feed tray and the tray for printed paper both fold up nicely. This keeps my cat from messing with it!

I do have one complaint, however; after 2 or 4 uses, the paper feeding mechanism encountered a problem and paper would jam every time I tried to print. I almost threw the darn thing away because it wasn't getting me anywhere, but my boyfriend figured out that there was a slight problem with how the feeding mechanism was lined up and he was able to fix it (he's a computer science major; no way I would've known what to do). I don't know if this is a common problem, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It's why I gave the product a 4 instead of a 5.

good product just wish ink would last a tad more

For only $30.00, this is a great value. It's not a spectacular printer, but I didn't buy it to print photos. It works quickly and perfectly for my various assignments and to print out directions, etc. Print quality is also fairly good. It wouldn't be a good printer to be toting around everywhere, though. Despite the fact that it is fairly compact, the product is cheaply made in terms of the plastic on the outside and the buttons. It is a good option to leave in a dorm or on the table, but I would not recommend it to take from place to place. Overall, it's a great value and gets the job done. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a cheap printer for simple printing like documents and MapQuest.

I am a grad student and bought this printer for my home. It prints great and is sleek and small enough for my apt. I have no desk area, and usually store my laptop after use, and am able to do the same with this printer, i just slide it in my entertainment center! the best part is, although i saw some other units that scan and copy, they didnt come with ink or usb cord, this device comes with everything you need, is easy to install and it all takes less than 30 minutes out of the box!!

So far I have nothing but PRAISE for this machine! I am very pleased with it. I have not yet done any photo printing, only black word processing, but the results have been most satisfactory. And for the price I paid off the internet sale WHO COULD COMPLAIN!!! I am aver ysatisfied customer - THANK YOU! Walmart and CANON!

This product has exceeded all my expectation...the printer is black and does not look inexpensive at all right out of the box. The color and glossy finish matches my black MacBook perfectly. Aside from the aesthetic the printer is easy to assemble and it comes with a black and color cartridge. The set-up was easy which was something that did concern me being a Apple user. The bonus is the additional photo paper that is included and the USB cord. This is NOT just a photo printer btw...

This unit for $30 replaced the KODAK I purchased online from WM for $90 and the retail store took it back no problem because the KODAK produced surreal pictures--looked psychadelic. Never a KODAK again, and I made the mistake of looking at reviews afterward, and over 50% did NOT recommend. This is 1/3 the price and does what I need it to do just fine. I will look to CANON for my next printer purchase. We have three computers in the household so we go through printers regularly.

Wow! I was skeptical about this printer because of the price. I've always been the type to say, "You get what you pay for". After reading the reviews, I thought I'd give it a try since I could always return it.

Wow, I was blown away at the quality of the pictures! It's the same quality that the photo labs print out. For $30 you get a printer that spits out photos in a flash. I expected it to take alot longer to print, but it was pretty quick. This has been VERY helpful since my boyfriend is in basic training and all he can get is pictures and letters. It's great to have a high quality printer, especially since I'm on a budget! Very wonderful! Thank you Canon for making a great product at an affordable price!
