I just got my printer today from a local Walmart. I immediately set it up when I got back home. Setup was easy and only took a few minutes. The printer looks great and works great. The prints come out at a good pace and the photos are awesome. I couldnt believe how great the photos look. They look just like I got my photos done professionally. I was in awe. I'm glad i purchased this printer.

So far so good...

My printing needs are pretty minimal, so a basic printer such as this seemed to be appropriate for my needs. I mean, for $30, how can you go wrong? Set up was a breeze on OSX and the small number of documents that I've printed so far have been problem free and looked good. I'd definitely recommend this printer to someone like me who only needs to print occasionally and doesn't really have any need for a scanner.

This was a gift. I was looking for a printer for my sister. She needed something that would be easy on cartridge refills. I picked this one because of the price and it should do everything she needs it for. So far so good. :)

I bought this printer about 2 weeks ago and it is well worth the money. It has great quality when printing it is fast and affordable. It was super easy to hook up and ready to start printing with in 15 minutes the directions are really easy to follow as well. The only downfall is I have printed about 50 pictures and already need color ink... so that is the only thing I have not liked about the printer.

This product works great for the price paid. The directions for installing the printer ink could be more descript, but got it working and it prints really fast for a small printer. I suggest that all printer vendors start putting their setup info on mini flash drives instead of cd's. My mini does not have a cd player and I had to spend extra time downloading the software over an aircard. Then, I tried the setup for a vista laptop and it was not very smooth and it had some printing problems. Otherwise, I would recommend it if you want a low price printer. It also has a small footprint, so it would be great for a college student's dorm room, etc... The print quality is great on paper output. I have not tried pictures yet.

When I came accross this printer I originally only bought it because I was inexpensive and it came with the printer cable and the ink cartridges. I didnt think it would stand up to the job of printing anything! But to my pleasent surprise it printed my wedding invites, reception cards, reply cards and umpteen million photos all before running out of ink! I was shocked. The ink is inexpensive and I am so happy I made the small investment that saved me some money!

For a basic printer, this is a solid product. Easy to install with 2 cartridges (that can supposedly be refilled and reused). Prints very fast with excellent quality. Does not copy or scan.

I have been using this product to print about 4-5 three page reports a day, 4 day out of the weeks. It gets used a lot. The printers has met and exceeded all my expectations. I only have to buy ink about once a month. My only complaint is that it takes too long to warm up. After turning it on (from an unplugged off), and pressing print it takes about 1 minutes before it begins to print anything. I know it's not a very long time but I don't like waiting. I'm not sure if this is an occurring problem if you have it plugged in all the time. This product has taken a beating in the back of my cop car and I would definitely recommend this to any college student or anyone that is looking for a printer at a great price.

I've had nothing but problems with this printer since I bought it. Right away I noticed it was loud when printing, even on "quiet" mode, which isn't any better. It doesn't stay aligned no matter how many times I re-align it. It prints random places on the paper that looks like the words and pictures are in italics. It's also really slow when printing (sometimes taking 20-30 seconds between pages before the next page starts printing). It also tends to suck up the whole stack of paper when printing, so I usually have to feed the paper in one sheet at a time. The only reason I gave it a 2 is because the ink is reasonably priced, though it tends to run out fast for the little amount I actually print. I'd say you're better off dishing out the few extra bucks for something a little more expensive and better quality.

Cheap Printer

I bought this printer because it was cheaper than buying new ink cartridges for my old printer.
The majority of my printing is black and white report style but occasionally there are color graphs included. This printer started out printing OK but quickly began to feed the paper at an angle making the text unreadable. Lately the paper has stopped feeding all together.
The feed roller is located on one side of the paper and only that side is actually fed into the printer... the other side gets scrunched up and eventually jams up.

I recently purchased this printer and I'm very satisfied with it so far. When I first got it, I did have quite a bit of trouble trying to get the ink cartridges to go in properly. Maybe it's because I've never had a canon printer before, or maybe I was being impatient, but I struggled with that part for a while. After I finally installed them properly, everything was simple. This printer prints out documents clear and easy to read, unlike my last printer. I also printed out a photo with the glossy photo paper that is included and the quality was wonderful. No more having to go to a store to pick up my digital photos. Another thing is that this printer prints pretty fast. It is a very nice gloss black and looks great, only problem is that it's a dust magnent. As soon as I took the plastic wrapping of of it, the top was covered in dust. The ink for this printer is pretty cheap compared to most printer ink. This is a wonderful printer all around and I can't believe it's only 29.88. You can't go wrong with this!

Love this printer. It prints fast and is really good for all uses. The ink is no more expensive than most and cheaper than a lot.I use it everyday to print pictures, cards, school papers, and most anything else. I love it.
