The lights is more mauve/pink but the tinsel is entwined with a purple halogram irridescent shimmer. Vibrant and dominating when lit, so the best color decorations to use are white, silver and clear. There is that one problem with most colored tinsel items, 'do not display in direct bright sunlight for a long period'. The color tends to fade and the silver tinsel base begins to expose. Knowledgeable crafters can revitalize the faded tinsel by spraying a very fine mist of purple stain glass transparent glaze over the entire tree. Repeat if deeper shade is desired. Or use deep blue to cut the pink. Hope this helps all. aloha and mele kalikimaka.
