I purchased this for my son's 2nd Birthday. My wife wanted a ride-on that our son would enjoy and at the same time she wanted to make sure that it was not overly fast for his experience level. At two mph, it is about the same speed as me bending down and pushing him at a good pace. At first, my son was weary of it, but minutes later, he was enjoying his new toy while riding around in our backyard. Another good thing about it, is that it was a wide turning radius. I figure that it is like this so as to minimize sharp turns that could cause it to tip over. The only negative thing that I have to say about this quad is the application of the decals was frustrating. Be careful putting them on as they are very sticky and tear easily if you tug on them roughly when you try to reposition them. Although, I myself tore a couple of them, I was satisfied with the end product. So if you are looking for a first ride-on that is safe and fun, I would highly recommend this quad.
