Bissell Powersteamer Powerbrush 1370

I purchased this product after viewing the previous posts about this cleaner. Most of the posts were positive so I decided to take a leap of faith. After my first use, I fully understood about the smallness of the cleaning tank and the need to refill, refill, ect. After cleaning the carpet for the first time, I wasn't too pleased with the quality of the cleaning by this cleaner so I opted to redo the carpet.

During the second cleaning, the cleaner would only dispense half of the cleaning solution. To continue the cleaning process, I had to empty half clean water and half dirty water. I called customer service, explained what was going and what could possible cause this problem. The only help I got was a recommendation to take it to a repair center. I told the representative that this was a brand new machine (used twice) and taking it to a repair center was not an option. Her response: "There is nothing I can do to help you other than telling you where the nearest repair center is." Walmart, I am on my way to your store tomorrow for a refund of my $89.99 plust tax. Thanks for the experience.

The only thing I didnt like about this powersteamer was the tank was to small and I had to keep empting the tank and it used alot of soap. But it did it's job very well.

I moved into a home with light beige carpets. With 3 children and 3 stepchildren, you can imagine how dirty and stained the carpets can get! This carpet shampooer totally did the trick! The carpets came out like brand new! And, it was so easy to use and not heavy and bulky!

We went to Walmart with the intention of buying the least expensive carpet cleaner, but for $10 more we thought this model was a better deal because of the power brush. It works way better than I expected. We have bought a fixer-upper, owned by an older single man who wore his work boots indoors and had a dog! The first cleaning got most of the stains out, and the second cleaning made the carpets look nearly new. It works better than the awkward Green Clean Machine I had owned previously.
The only negative I can see is that it doesn't have attachments.

this product really surprised me it was better then i was expecting we own a kirby which has a shampooer and it can't compair or come close to the bissell

I just bought it yeasterday and immediatley cleaned my light beige carpert. I guess after paying almost 200.00 to have my carpets professionally cleaned, i was determined to find a cheaper route. The carpet defenitley looks better! I would say it works, but there are a few dislikes for me-- When you turn the machine off after using it dirty water drips onto the area you've just clean-- which basically defeats the purpose, I have leave the machine powered and bring it into the kitchen to turn it off so when the dirty water leakedI could wipe it up. Also, It would be alot nicer if it came with attatchments to clean smaller areas and to do spots on the furniture. Other then that you get what you pay for.

I have owned full-sized steam carpet cleaners before. Heavy and loud, cleaning carpets was never even remotely enjoyable.

I researched other products and thought I would give this Bissell a try. I am pleasantly surprised!

I just finished cleaning the high traffic areas in my living/dining room combination. The carpet is basically dry. I am impressed with the machine's suction. I can see the carpet being pulled up.

Clean small areas at a time because you will be emptying and re-filling the hot water and cleaning solution quite often. When you are done, the machine is easy to clean, and it's the same size as my Hoover vacuum making it easy to store.

The machine is not heavy, and the handle is high enough that my back is not sore. Yes, the larger wheels make it easy to maneuver.

I can not comment on its durability as I have only had it one day. But I purchased the extra Wal Mart warranty, just in case. It was only $6.00 more.

I am satisfied.

This carpet cleaner lasted a year before the clip holding the fan belt snapped off. There was no way to fix it. For that year that I was able to use it, I must have cleaned my carpets about 3 times a week due to a puppy trying to be house broken. I have had several carpet cleaners since this one and keep returning them because they do not work well. I guess I am comparing all of them to this one. I was here trying to buy another one but they are sold out on line.

The machine worked PERFECTLY for a few years for me!!! I've shampooed my home carpets, friends home carpets, Even a PET RESCUE'S CARPETS! It performed flawlessly and deep cleaned all the carpets better than any other carpet cleaner I've owned! All the features that it came with worked fine! It's easy to use and does the job without too much effort. I finally wore it out and am going right out to buy another one!
