I bought this book to go along with a new guitar for my husband as a 5-year wedding anniversary present. My husband plays piano, but has no background with guitar. This book touches on every aspect of the guitar - chords, helpful hints, and even the guitar's anatomy. My husband was strumming some chords within an hour or so after reading just a few chapters in this book. He was even able to play the first song listed in the book after just a few hours. This book was a great purchase!!! He hasn't looked at the CD yet, but the book has been excellent!!!
