Well I'm not sure how to rate this or even if I should recommend it quite yet. As soon as I picked it up I of course opened it excitedly and noticed that the only way to put the batteries in was to unscrew the bottom which wasn't a normal size screw to begin with. I went to the store and had to purchase a eye glass screw driver and then as soon as I tried unscrewing it the screw was stripped!! My little girl is very scared of the dark so making night trips is a hard thing to do and this was one product I was looking very forward to.
I have yet to exchange it since I can't stand having to wait in line especially in customer service which is one reason I chose to buy it offline but so much for that.
So I'm still on the fence on this. Oh and one more tiny complaint would be the hard material its made of. You would think for children it would be a little softer and more kid friendly but it's not a reason that I wouldn't buy it just one more tiff I have with it. I can say the way its made is very easy to hold if that's any consultation.

My daughter has a plug in glass night light. We recently went on vacation and I didn't want to bring the glass night light. I looked online and found this Mobi night light, and my husband and I loved it. It is light weight , cute and gives off the perfect amount of light. It has three options, timed lighting, and two different light levels without a timer.
We now use this product every night.
I would highly recommend the Mobi night light!

I like the various settings and the automated turn off that dims as is goes off. It is just right for checking on our two month old in the night. It is bring enough to see what we are doing but not too bright to wake her.

So I recently bought my 4 year old daughter a tyke light for the same reason most of the other parents have she became afraid of the dark. I was so amazed how well it worked the first night and every night afterwards we have had it now for two weeks and no more scary dreams, or afraid of the dark she calls it her pink ghost light. the only down side is you better invest in some rechargeable batteries the same time you buy it and be prepaired to charge them every day for this thing. other than that i totally recomend this product

I have to say...this was a great buy! My daughter loved it. I finally decided to make my daughter sleep in her own room. I knew she needed a good night light. After reading the reviews and comparing other reviews (Amazon), I decided to purchase this night light. I don’t regret it at all. I love how it gets dim around 8 to 10 min (I have not timed it) then completely shut off after 15 min. It’s fun, cute, and small.

I have a 3 yr old who always went to sleep with no problems. Just recently she became scared of the dark. I plugged in extra nightsand started using the tap lights for extra light but the batteries kept dying. I saw this and thought the timer was great. Ever since we started using it she has gone to sleep with no problems!!!!! She knows how to turn it on if the time shuts it off before she falls asleep. I would highy recommend it!!

I recently redecorated my toddler's room since we have another one on the way and they will be sharing a room. I could not find a type of night light that could sit up on the dresser and that was safe for my daughter to mess with until I saw the Tyke Light Jr. No plugs, hard plastic, and it came in pink! My daughter sometimes sleeps with it in her bed or by her side. It was perfect!

Our 2 1/2 y/o daughter has always slept with a lamp on at night. It was bright enough to illuminate the whole room, and I often wondered if she might sleep more soundly with less light. However, I hesitate to use a plug-in nightlight that she could easily unplug. (The lamp cord was secure behind her dresser.) I had seen the Tyke Light online but never ordered it, and then we found one at our local Wal-Mart store. We gave it a shot. The very first night, she was sleeping in the dark with only her "Happy Light" and it's been smooth sailing ever since. She carries Happy Light around even during the daytime, like her little buddy. When her best friend spent a few nights with us, we ended up having to go get one for her as well. The girls love their happy lights, and I've even noticed that our daughter is sleeping much more soundly now.
Note: The 4 stars for Durability is due to the fact that we haven't had it very long and I don't yet know if it warrants a 5th star. I do know that it is definitely worth at least 4, though.

This product is a WOW!! Love it. Gives children such an excellent sense of independent security. My 3 yr old suddenly developed a fear of the dark. She needed a light on to get to sleep or if she woke up in the middle of the night she would cry out for the light to be turned back on. With the Mobi Tyke light even if she wakes up it is right there for her to hold and go back to sleep. She is thrilled and so are we to be sleeping thru the night once again!! I will be getting this as a baby shower gift for all friends having a baby. It has a timer or a constant on and is just a nice inexpensive asset for children and parents.

My daughter does not like riding home in the car after dark, and I was getting tired of driving everywhere with the overhead light on all the time. I purchased the Tyke Light for her to hold while riding in the car after dark. She loves it! It is small enough for her to hold and move around so she can see whatever she wants. Truly a great product!

This is a great nightlight for the price. I like the Regular Mobi Tykelight because it charges and does not require batteries. But this is a great nightlight, it does not give off too much light, it could give off a little more, but its good.

My daughter was starting to wake up at night with nightmares at 22 months. Right before transitioning her to the toddler bed (by two days!) I picked this up to help with the nightmares. Now, she wakes up, looks around and says "Oh, ok, NIGH NIGH" and rolls over and goes back to sleep! Very worth the money spent, and I'm considering getting a back up just in case, or if we go travelling, I don't want to lose this one!

I got this for my daughter when she transitioned (at 24 months) to a bed. I mainly got it for the timer aspect and that it does not get hot. And, I chose this one over the regular sized one sold at other stores because reviews I read on that one said it gave off too much light. This has been great. The timer stays on for 15 minutes, and by then my daughter is usually asleep. And, the batteries last much longer than expected (a few nights my husband put it on the dim setting and it stayed on all night and we still haven't had to change the batteries). It gives off plenty of light, but not too much that it keeps my daughter from falling asleep. The only things that would make this even better is if there was an easy way for my daugther to turn on the light (and have it automatically turn on a timer setting) and if there was a way to set it so it would turn on automatically in the morning to indicate that it is OK to get out of bed. But, all in all I would recommend this product and buy it again.

I first found this item on clearance on my way out of a WalMart. My three year old adores it. It is a 15 minute halogen nightlight and it is also cuddly. How they manage "cuddly" made out of hard plastic I will never know but "Pinky" as she came to be named is a must have. When my little one wakes up in the night she can simply click the light on herself and soothe back to sleep. SHe can also use it to "read" before she goes night night. Take my advice and buy this item. I went back online and ordered two more - one for her dads house and one for Grammy's. Good Luck!

Dear Daughter LOVES her Mobi Tyke Light! At the age of 3, she has develpoed a fear of the dark, and the tyke light has been a wonderful solution to the problem! Her "Little Fella" goes everywhere with her. It casts a nice soft glow in the dark and is not disruptive for her much needed sleep. I like the sleep timer as it automatically shuts off after 15 minutes. It is very durable and I like that it uses batteries-on less thing I have to find an outlet for! Of course, Walmart offers the Tyke Light at a very affordable pirce! You and your child wont be disappointed!

Tyke Light Jr. is fabulous! We have two little children and we have gotten each of them one. They love that when they wake up in the middle of the night it gives off a reassuing light. And if they want to make their way to our room, they pick up their Tyke Light and it illuminates their path. My family and I LOVE them!!
