I bought this for my 4 yr-old nephew. He instantly fell in love with it! I thought it may be too difficult for him but he didn't seem to be overwhelmed by it at all. In fact, it's always in his hands since he received it! I'm so glad he enjoys it.

What a great product! We got two of these for Christmas presents (for our 4 and 6 year old kids). We have other Leapfrog products that our great but the kids don't use them a whole lot. This is completely different, both of the kids use these constantly with little encouragement from me. It is easy for them to use, fun, and educational. I would recommend the carrying case to go along with it. We purchased two, and I am very glad we did. The kids got used to using them from the very start, so their games stay protected from their smaller brother. These work great in the car also.

My 5 year old loves his leapster. He only has one game now because they are so expensive. The activites are age appropriate.

Bought it for him for Christmas. It uses batteries, but there's also a place for a universal AC adapter to plug in.

It comes with games built-in, so you don't have to purchase anything extra right away.

This is our second leapster...My son got his first when he was three and now he is six. The first handheld endured a lot of abuse. Three years and some maturity later, we are opting for a second leapster instead of the "other video gaming devices."

We received the Leapster as a gift for our daughters 3rd birthday and at first I thought of exchanging it because I thought it was too advanced. I soon changed my mind and she is now 7 and it has been the best gift she ever got!
She especially enjoys it when we travel. It keeps her very busy. This is a sturdy product that has endured alot of dropping and abuse and it still works like new!
I am now planning on buying it for my neices.
