My mother in law bought Elmo Live for my daughter for Christmas, and my daughter LOVES him! This is such a sweet little toy. She loves to dance with Elmo, and blow kisses to him. She tries to carry him around with her everywhere she goes. We definitely recommend Elmo Live to all of the Elmo fans!

Elmo Live is an awesome toy! At first I didn't want to pay $60 for it, but when my four year old son saw it, the look on his face was worth every penny spent! Elmo works great and is very funny and so cute. My son absolutely loves him! He loves to listen to Elmo tell stories and he carries him around and hugs him. It's a great toy ... could be a little cheaper, but overall well worth it for my son's happiness!

I bought this elmo for my grandaughter who is 8months, she is enchanted by it!! I loved how it interacts with the kids, my 5 yr old loved it even more!! With the jokes, stories, and games it does, it kept them busy for quite some time, I recomend spending the extra money for this elmo, rather than any other elmo. I wish they would come out with more caracters like this one.

We received this as a gift but I had seen this in the store previously AND had no intentions of buying it. The sticker price was ouch and my boy, 2 years old, loves Elmo but seemed more taken by the other toys in the store.
At first, he was fascinated but within 10 minutes, he was bored. Elmo kept falling when he started to tell a story because he was trying to cross his legs. The stool really doesn't help him from falling either. So Elmo kept saying, "...will you help Elmo up, please?" in the middle of the sentence and doesn't continue from where he left off when you set him back up. My boy just leaves Elmo on the ground to see what happens. Of course, nothing happens, Elmo goes to sleep and my boy finds something else to play with.
My 5-Month-Old Girl, though, enjoys Elmo for at least 10 minutes at a time. But again, for the price, it's not really worth it. It's not like my girl knows who Elmo is...

My son loves this doll which Grandma gave him for Xmas. Unfortunately, the original one broke and after Xmas I was could not find another one in a store. I was able to order it from Walmart online and it was delivered quickly. Which was good because my son was very upset when it broke.

I got this @ the cheapest price alittle while ago and it was worth every cent!!! My son just loves to play w/ELMO. So, this toy is really cool and cute and very entertaining when the child wants to play w/him. He has been waiting for it since X-mas and just got it 4 his B-day and he LIT up so bright!!! Unfortunaley hes not all that great! I thought he would be so cute to play with for my 18m old. She liked it in the store. I was a little disappointed. What child is going to sit there and play attention to listen to the story he has to tell. Hes heavy, not cuddly, it's fur on plastic, when you carry him its like your pulling his skin off, hes always falling over...and Elmo yes take a nap! a long nap! We still have tickle me Elmo and chicken dance Elmo, they are far better and the kids think they are more fun to play with. Save your money or just buy mine...lol.

We got this for Christmas as a gift. I know it's pretty expensive- and I would have expected more for the price. It is not cuddly- so don't expect that. You can feel the plastic and wires through the red fur. It is pretty fragile- we have to closely supervise our 18 month old when she plays with it, even though it says it's for her age group. After only 2 months, it now stops playing in the middle of stories and songs even with new batteries. She's NEVER dropped it or played roughly with it, so my guess is that it's just a product flaw. Too expensive for the quality.

I was a little reluctant to purchase this toy after I read some of the reviews regarding malfunctioning, but thought I'd give it a try since my 19 mth old adores Elmo. Initially, my son didn't want to have anything to do with this Elmo, but after the first day, he couldn't stop pressing the buttons, and even says "bah-bah" to Elmo when we leave the house!
We did experience some of the problems mentioned by other reviewers - stopping in the middle of a song/story, and Elmo falling over when trying to sit down. The instruction booklet that this toy comes with does indicate that Elmo may malfunction at times due to static electricity. The manufacturer recommends turning the toy off, then back on to fix the problem. In our case, problem fixed. As for the falling down, after we replaced the batteries, Elmo was as lively as ever, and could sit down without falling over, even without his chair behind him! Again, the manufacturer recommends setting Elmo on a hard, flat surface for best results. All in all, I'm glad I purchased this toy for my son...he listens to the stories, blows Elmo kisses, and dances along with him. Can't wait to see what they do with Elmo next!

When i bought this elmo, i got it on sale, $39.00. I still think it's expensive for what it is. My daughter loves Elmo and I was very excited to get it for her. Unfortunately, she only plays with him for about 3 minutes at a time. He is definately cute and am glad I found him on sale. One reason I purchased him is because all sesame street products go towards the not for profit sesame street orginization, to help teach children. I would not have purchased him it he wouldn't have been on sale.

I purchased this toy for my 9 month old son for Christmas after seeing a demo on the web. He totally loves it. Whenever Elmo is on, my son will get this gigantic smile of his face, laugh, jump and shriek at Elmo; he pays complete attention. We love watching our son's reaction to this toy. Elmo is even entertaining for adults too. If we turn Elmo on for my son while visitors are over, the entire room stops to see Elmo do his thing. Although I love Elmo, I don't think it's worth $60 bucks. I bought this toy when it was on sale for $40, which is what I think it should sell for and why I gave the value 5 stars. So, other than cost, my family and I, especially my son, loves this toy!
